Compartment 5
This is a stack of a few of my grandmother Judy’s elementary school class photos from her childhood in Worcester, MA.
In my and my aunt and uncle’s opinions, Judy is the girl all the way on the left in the second row from the bottom. That girl really looks a lot like my grandmother.
These photographs were found in a file cabinet in the basement, along with over a dozen copies of Judy’s high school Argus magazine – a student publication for which she served as editor. A stack of a few copies can be found in Compartment 7.
Also in the same file cabinet drawer, were stacks of sheet music – likely from Henry’s long running hobby of playing cello, or perhaps one of the sons’ instrument playing days. I also found a program from my uncle Dan’s bar mitzvah in the same drawer.
It’s a nice drawer of a ephemera and these photos stood out as wonderful keepsakes. I showed them to my grandma to see if she could tell which one she was, but her vision is too poor now to make it out clearly. Still, I think it’s pretty obvious.
