Compartment 8

This camera is an old Leica from the 1920s or 30s. It was probably already vintage when my grandfather Henry bought it, unless it was inherited from his father Lutz. It’s in a leather case with a film canister stuck to it. It sat in the bottom drawer of Henry’s desk on second floor, probably for decades.

It sits on top of a Membership Directory from the American Family Therapy Academy. Henry and Judy were pioneers in family therapy, both being some of the first practitioners in that field. Henry was a psychiatrist and Judy a social worker. They founded the Couples & Family Clinic and Training Program at Cambridge Hospital.
